An opportunity has arisen to join the IT Services support desk team. Based in our Eastbourne offices the successful candidate will be supporting our Gardlink and EPOS book shop stock management system for retailers throughout the UK, and supporting and implementing customer EDI integration.

The job role will require site visits to retailers throughout the UK, as well as organising and conducting training courses on our software. There may also be some additional requirement to represent the Gardners IT Services team at exhibitions or meetings.

Essential for this roll:

  • Full clean driving licence with 5+ years’ experience
  • Excellent English both written and spoken
  • A friendly and professional manner
  • Smart appearance
  • Excellent time keeping
  • Confident communicator

The ideal candidate will have the following experience/knowledge:

  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Windows operating systems
  • Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
  • Microsoft SQL
  • Backup, antivirus, malware, and firewall solutions
  • A good understanding of IT communications protocols
  • A good understanding of small network support
  • Previous experience of working as part of a busy IT support desk team

The successful candidate must have a full UK driving licence.

Full training in our bespoke services will be given.

An exciting opportunity has arisen to become a part of our buying team at Gardners. Our buying team are a fundamental part of our business and we are recruiting for administrators to join the team, and further enhance this department.

Our buying office administrators are responsible for a variety of day-to-day tasks that aide the team and keep the systems moving smoothly.

We are looking for highly organised and motivated candidates that will be responsible for assisting both our buyers, and our stock control team.

Key attributes and skills:

  • Strong organisational skills
  • Good working knowledge of the Microsoft suite, particularly MS Excel and MS Word.
  • Ability to prioritise workload effectively
  • Good communication skills, both written and spoken

The buying team promotes a strong team culture, you will be working with various different members of not only the team, but other departments, with colleagues at all levels. It is key you are able to work well as part of a team, but also to be able to work on projects alone.

The role is based from our offices in Eastbourne. The hours are from 9am to 5.30pm Monday – Friday.
